Foot Valve-1

Product Features and Applications

Structural Features

Check Valve Design:

The bottom valve is equipped with a check function, allowing liquid to enter the pump pipe from the inlet while preventing liquid from flowing back, thus maintaining the liquid in the suction pipe.

Filter Screen (Filter):

The bottom valve is fitted with a filter screen/filter to prevent impurities and solid particles from entering the pump, thereby protecting the pump body and pipeline, and extending the equipment’s service life.

Valve Disc or Ball

Inside the bottom valve, there is a valve disc or ball that automatically opens or closes according to the pressure of the water flow, ensuring unidirectional flow.

Installation Method:

The bottom valve is typically installed at the end of the suction pipe of the pump in a vertical direction, between the pipeline connected to the pump body.

Performance Features

Prevent Backflow:

The main function of the bottom valve is to prevent liquid from flowing back into the suction pipeline when the pump stops running, thereby maintaining the liquid-filled state within the pipeline.

Reduce Startup Load:

Since the bottom valve keeps the suction pipeline filled with liquid, the pump does not need to prime again during startup, reducing the startup load and time, thus improving system efficiency.

Protect Pump and Pipeline:

The filter function of the bottom valve prevents impurities and solid particles from entering the pump, effectively protecting the pump and pipeline from damage.

Wide Applicability:

The bottom valve is suitable for various media such as clean water, sewage, and seawater, and is widely used in agricultural irrigation, industrial water treatment, and construction water supply.

Application Fields

gricultural Irrigation:

The bottom valve is widely used in agricultural irrigation systems to ensure the efficient operation of irrigation pumps.

Water Treatment:

In industrial and municipal water treatment systems, the bottom valve is used to prevent the backflow of wastewater or clean water, ensuring the stability of the system.

Building Water Supply:

In building water supply systems, the bottom valve ensures the efficient operation of supply pumps, reducing startup time and energy consumption.

Seawater Extraction:

The bottom valve is also used in seawater extraction and treatment systems, ensuring that equipment is protected from impurities and corrosive substances in seawater.

Installation and Maintenance

Installation Location:

The bottom valve should be installed at the lowest point of the pump’s suction pipe to ensure that liquid can smoothly enter the pump body while preventing air from entering the pipeline.

Maintenance:

Regularly inspect and clean the filter screen of the bottom valve to prevent clogging, and ensure the proper functioning of the valve flap or ball to maintain optimal valve performance.
